ZIM vs BAN: Bangladesh T20 captain for the ongoing series against Zimbabwe Nurul Hasan Shohan will miss the rest of tour due to a finger injury.

The wicketkeeper batsman hurt his left index finger while keeping against fast bowler Hasan Mahmud during today’s 2nd T20 international at the Harare Sports Club which Bangladesh won by 7 wickets.

Bangladesh physio Muzadded Alpha Sany said:

“We did an X-ray which revealed a fracture to the index finger.

“Such injuries take about three weeks to recover from. He is therefore out of Tuesday’s last T20 match and the upcoming ODI series.”

Coming to the second T20I, Bangladesh made a stunning comeback to send the series to a decider with a convincing seven-wicket victory over Zimbabwe in the second T20I.

With a seven-wicket victory on Sunday in Zimbabwe, Bangladesh evened a three-match Twenty20 international series. Litton Das and Mosaddek Hossain both contributed significantly to the result.

At the Harare Sports Club, the tourists held Zimbabwe to 135-8 as the all-around spinner Mosaddek grabbed five wickets, a first in his T20 international career.

Due to an excellent start led by opener Liton, whose 56 off 33 balls included two sixes and six fours. Bangladesh were always ahead on run rate despite being given a modest target.

With 15 balls remaining, the visitors easily reached 136-3, and their victory was more sweet. Because it was their second T20 victory in their previous 15 international contests.
