- In the 10 matches that he played on Grass courts this year, Medvedev has a 10-2 win-loss record.
- Both his losses unfortunately came in the finals at Halle Open and Libema Open. Medvedev is fighting hard to end his title drough this year.
- He started the Mallorca Open with a scare as he lost the first set against compatriot slan Karatsev, he however fought back well to clinch a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory.
- This will be Medvedev’s last opportunity to win a title on Grass as he won’t be part of the upcoming Wimbledon Champions as players from Russia are banned by the All England Lawn Tennis Association due to political tensions between Russia and Ukraine.

- Meanwhile, Agut started the year by bowing out of the third round at the Australian Open.
- His best performance this year is winning the title at the Qatar Open, where he defeated Nikoloz Basilashvili in straight sets in the semmit clash.
- He participated only in the Italian Open during the clay court season and made a second round exit. He missed all the other tournaments by even withdrawing from the French Open as he suffered a wrist injury.
- He made his comeback at Halle Open and faced quarterfinal exit as he lost to Daniil Medvedev in straight sets.
- He will now be eager to avenge his defeat in the previous tournament and get back to winning ways against the Russian.
Medvedev vs Agut Head-to-Head: This will be the fifth meeting between both these players with Agut leading the head-to-head record 3-1. Medvedev’s only victory against the Spaniard came last week at Halle Open. The upcoming contest will be their second meeting on grass courts.
