CWG 2022: India defeated Barbados by 100 runs on Wednesday to advance to the semi-finals of the current Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham thanks to Renuka Singh‘s four-wicket haul.

Renuka took four wickets for India, while Harmanpreet Kaur, Radha Yadav, and Sneh Rana each took one. Kyshona Knight led Barbados in scoring. Renuka Singh gave his team a significant breakthrough in the opening over of the innings while defending a total of 162, by dismissing Deandra Dottin with no runs yet scored. Before Shafali Verma’s 43 runs off 26 balls, India’s vice-captain Smriti Mandhana. And captain Harmanpreet Kaur were unable to significantly affect the score. But Verma’s performance helped India steady the innings in the first 10 overs. After that, Jemimah Rodrigues took over and quickly reached 50. While Deepti Sharma’s helpful cameo enabled India to score 162 points.
