Judoka Tulika Maan then lost her Gold medal contest and settled for silver in the 78 + kg category in Judo. On Tuesday, the Women’s Lawn Bowls team created history by winning the Gold medal in the sport on Tuesday. They defeated South Africa 17-10 to win the first-ever medal for India in the sport in the Commonwealth Games. India also has won a TABLE TENNIS GOLD in Men’s Team event. India have bagged 5 GOLD, 5 SILVER and 5 BRONZE.
India’s Judoka Sushila Devi Likmabam won the silver medal in the Women’s 48 kg category on Monday. This is India’s first medal at CWG 2022 in a sport other than Weightlifting. Another Judoka Vijay Kumar Yadav followed it up by winning Bronze medal in Men’s 60 kg category. At the end of the day, Harjinder Kaur bagged Bronze in Women’s 71 kg Weightlifting. With these medals, India’s tally has risen to nine medals at the Commonwealth Games 2022
Mirabai Chanu won India’s first gold medal on Saturday. Also, weightlifter Sanket Sargar clinched India’s first medal by winning the silver in the men’s 55kg category. Gururaja Poojary then followed it up by winning the bronze medal in the 61kg category. In the Women’s 55 kg category Bindyarani Devi clinched the silver medal
