On September 20, 23, and 25, there will be three T20I matches. The last time India and Australia played was in 2020–21. India faced Australia in T20I, ODI, and Test series during the tour. India won the T20I series 2-1 and the Test series 2-1 but lost the ODI series 1-2.
Recently, Australia hosted Zimbabwe for an ODI series. Australia defeated Zimbabwe for the first time of the series, which it won 2-1. New Zealand and Australia are currently competing in an ODI series. Australia has already won the three-game series after defeating New Zealand by 2 wickets in the first ODI and also by 113 runs in the second ODI. Therefore, the third one-day game is scheduled for September 11.
India recently participated in the 2022 Asia Cup. India succeeded in making it through the group stage and also into the super four round. However, they were ousted from the competition after losing back-to-back games to Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Pakistan and Sri Lanka reached the final game.
