75th Independence Day: To mark the nation’s 75th anniversary of independence, the former captain MS Dhoni on Saturday updated the profile photo on his Instagram account to the Indian tricolour.
Apart from India’s tricolour, Dhoni’s display picture also comprises a quote in Sanskrit which translates to ‘I’m blessed to be a Bharatiya’.
The 41-year-old has a significant social media fan base, but he just occasionally updates his account. His followers frequently lament his lack of activity on social media, therefore the most recent post has pleased them.
Notably, India is currently celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. And Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited everyone to use the “tiranga” as their social media profile photo.
In August 2020, Dhoni ended his career in international cricket. He nevertheless continues to compete in the Indian Premier League, leading the Chennai Super Kings to four championships while serving as their captain.
